Feeling human again after early night and a nice English breakfast. Today we drove to Launceston in Cornwall, about a four hour trip according to google maps. Followed the coast for a bit and then headed inland to Chichester and back on the motorways to again brave the fast traffic. I take my turn at the wheel after lunch and it is indeed threatening when the cars just appear and then whiz by as is you are standing still. After a while I decide to join the flow but I feel like we are flying! Not sure what is harder, the manic speed on the motorways or the massive roundabouts where you are watching for traffic and trying to work out which exit to take.
On the way we pass through Dorset - a county we have not visited before and it is truly beautiful as is Devon the next county on. Heavily populated and extremely picturesque.
We arrive in Launceston by 4.30 and after some difficulty navigating the very narrow streets find a Tesco where we can finally get a sim card for the phone and some drinks to take to our hosts for the rest of the week. Kevin thought if our nav man cold get us to North Petherwin, the nearest village to Sam and Maggie's he would remember the way, but it was not to be and after two phone calls we finally arrived at their farm. How wonderful to see them again and be back at their beautiful home and farm.
Sam and Maggie's daughter Donna and her husband Myles and children Evie and Charlie came for tea that night. We had met them last time we visited and it was great to see them again. The children are delightful and we hope one day they will all visit us in Aust.

Ken on

I had a similar experience driving in Ireland, I was driving along at my own pace while the Irish drivers were flying past me. Plus the windscreen wipers and indicators were on opposite sides so I was driving around Dublin with my windscreen wipers going

We are also having trouble with the indicators/wipers Ken. Just adds another dimension you could do without.
