Where I stayed
After a terrific breakfast in Davis with John and Jana, we were headed south to Mammoth Mountain. The drive was beautiful. John suggested we take 395 south and we definitely weren't disappointed. Lots of gorgeous run off lakes and snow capped mountains. It took us like 4 hours to get down here, and we just hung out in the lodge because it was dumping snow at the top of the mountain. Not much else to talk about, check out the pics...the drive was awesome. We are headed south to Bishop next to see more of Chris' extended family.....Kara and Chris

Mammoth
I'm so glad you're having a good time. My family spent so many of our vacations in Mammoth Lakes with Aunt Joy, Uncle Bob, Joan, Colleen and their families. I learned to ski on Mammoth Mountain in a pair of corduroy jeans. I ripped them completely my first time skiing and my aunt made me go back to the mountain the next day and try again. We used to drive their snow mobiles in the woods around their house. They lived on Davidson Road near Warming Hut 2, if I recall. Phyllis and I went to Mammoth this past summer and stayed on Colleen and Toby's farm in Benton (outside Bishop). Have fun with all the animals. I hope Kara's allergies don't act up too much. Give all the cousins a big hug for me. Love you both, Mom
Mammoth/Eastern Sierras
Uncle Bob would take us up in his Cessna airplane and skim the tops those peaks. Awesome! Also, Chris, Mammoth is where your mom tried to teach me how to ski.
I sucked. Your mom was very cool and patient but I'm sure I wasn't. Keep on rollin!! U Jer
