Well it's been a while since my last email and/or website update. Have gottn a bit lazy :) I'm still in Big White earning my big bucks as a lifty. Lately because of my knee injury...yep screwed my knee up skiing early December, i've been stuck on the most boring lift out here i.e the Gondola. You don't do much, and not much happens as it would be very hard for anyone to get into problems getting into a Gondola. So i've been on this lift for 3 weeks straight, and funny enough i'm quite liking it. Liking it meaning i get to do nothing and have not much responsibilities. Though the cons are that i fall asleep in the shack sometimes and freeze on most days while standing outside.
Today was my third day back on the skis after 6 weeks out. What a day it was to be out there. Big White's reputation is, as its name suggests...Big White Outs i.e. fog completely covers the mountain and you can't see 2 metres in front of you. It's been whiting out for most days for the past 2 weeks. But today was sun sun sun. And it reached 3 degrees...wow that's hot :) (compared to melbourne which i heard had consectutive 40+ degree days). Skiied for most of the day, pushing myself to the level i was at before my injury (not very good anyways). My knee was very sore after. I've attached some pictures of the mountain on the day.
What's happened since my last update...Christmas, had a christmas dinner...well somewhat of a christmas dinner we could muster up. That was good. New Years...hmmm, big night and morning. Next big day on the calander is Australia Day. Apparently it goes off and a lot of the aussies ski in their aussie gear. Look forward to that.
Anyways, anything exciting happening back home ? What's making the news ? Hope things are well anyways.
