Woke up the kids at 8.10am, they were real sleepy. GG was keen but NG was after more sleep.
had a quick bite to eat in our room, then it was off to Hollywood to Universal Studios. TomTom guided us and we were there in under an hour ready for the park to open at 10.00am.
1st up was the Universal Studio tour which included the NEW 360 degree 4D KING KONG ride. 4D means it was vibrating, loud, in your face with Spit (probably water) from the Dinosaurs and King Kong. it was the most Awesome ride I have ever been on.The screen was over 40 foot high, 180 foot long and wrapped around the tour bus so you didn'y know where to look. the action was all around you. After the 50 minute tour it was onto the Simpsons Ride, sort of like Soarin at Disneyland but with much more colour and movement. After the Simpsons it was a quick Lunch, then down the Escalators to the Jurassic Park Ride which has Really scary Dinosaurs that wanted to eat you, plus a 84 foot drop into the river, we went on this twice back to back. Then across to the Mummy Ride which was an indoor 100 MPH roller Coaster in the Dark which GG says was Fun Fast and Fantastic. Then Back to Jurassic park for another go. Then the Mummy again, then we tried to get our Back Pack out of the locker but my fingerprint didn't work, so we needed to call security for help. We then saw a quick show with the Characters, Scobby Do, Dracula, Shaggy, tall egyptian princess and many more.
back up the hill top see some shows. 1st Ice Cream - Chocolate fudge Sundaes with M&M's the off to Waterworld for a Jet Ski Chase, Boat crashes, action, Gun Fights, Love Story, Plane crash, Fire, explosions and plenty of Theatre.Next up was the Animal show, then the haunted House of Horrors which was really really scary and made Kanny cry, and the kids scream, even Wayne looked worried. after that was the the Shrek 4D show, which is the same show as in OZ, but is a really good show, a definite highlight. Then back to the Animal Show for a 2nd look. Then the park was closed so we headed outside for a Pizza at the Brick Oven Fire Pizza place, where Kanny had a super sweet Starbucks coffee. Then on the way home we took a detour through Hollywood Blvd to see the Stars. Back home by 9.00pm exhausted again.
