Buzzing a little bit from last nights nocturnal jungle beastie extravaganza we woke early (as is 'the rule' in Borneo whether you like it or not) and fended off a gang of Macca's on the way to the park centre. Before heading out we went back to the green viper to see whether it had moved and to get some pics of the beast - it hadn't moved and we got some decent shots!

Achieved 2 steep jungle ascents with the guys (you can't understate both the intense heat and humidity) to get to 2 extremely rewarding views of the bay, surrounding islands and the China Sea:

(1)Tanjong Sapi - view
(2) Bukit Tambi - View

Needless-to-say we chilled along time at each view...

Alas our time in Bako was short but rewardingly very sweet. Amazing Jungle and a further opportunity to watch and take pictures of those 'phantom-like' Proboscis monkeys. Even when they are there they manage to hide themselves using the leaves of a branch - frustrating for those nature photographers!!

Frankly, a nose like that and a constant bright red erection would be enough motivation to want to hide from the public. Celebrities back home would do well to copy the proboscis monkey behaviour to avoid being papped! (Excluding Russell Brand who makes a living out of what is bright red of the 2 prominent Proboscis assets).

Oh almost forgot...the wild pigs (they have beards and very long snouts) eat the rather large jelly fish that get stranded on the beach - sounds gross!
