The KL Bird Park is one of many attractions at the Lake Gardens. Hanging out with birds for the afternoon seems like a fun activity. The entrance fee is RM 20 for Malaysian, RM 45 for foreigners and RM 15 for kids. The park is huge. It has 4 different zones divided by the type of the birds from colourful parrots, eagles, owls, flightless birds, as well as nurseries for baby chicks.
The Hornbill Restaurant located in the park serves pretty decent food. Again, this is a great place to be Malaysian because we get 20% off of the bill. Yeahoo! They also have some scheduled bird shows. The eagle feeding is quite entertaining except that it's all in the cage, so you can't really see that clearly. The other bird show at the amphitheater is also nice although most of the tricks are cheesy. But those birds are really cute. By the time we're ready to go home, we're already exhausted. Overall it's a nice way to spend a day off from work.
