I arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport at around 1AM, delayed about 30 minutes; not surprising with Cebupac eh? :D The airport is much better than our NAIA Terminal 1 but comparable to Terminal 3 (I don't know why they only dedicate it to Cebupac when they can transfer all international flights there). Passport check with the Immigration officer came smoothly considering those I read over the internet regarding "show money". Maybe because Vietnam and The Philippines are brothers in ASEAN. It's like entering Singapore or Hong Kong without the hassle of a visa. However, I had this "questioning" in the immigration back home. Well, it's my fault for not securing an invitation letter from my friend, Drich. I was allowed to depart nonetheless.
Drich and I took a cab and went straight to his apartment at an affluent/high-end area (think of Forbes Park or Ayala Alabang). Cool! If ever I get a project in Ericsson Vietnam later, I can imagine the place they will put me in. :)
I had my first taste of Trung Nguyen, a black coffee and condensed milk concoction with ice. It kept me awake while waiting for our 7AM 6-hour bus ride en route Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I'll just catch up on my sleep aboard the bus.
