Headed out of Salzburg after dropping Mom and car off at the airport. My train to Linz departs at 15:35 and then I transfer, so I'll be in Prague tonight at the Chilli. Prague is gonna be a three day stint! Things are booked solid mostly. So it's the Chilli, the Sokolska then onward to...not sure where on the 30th.

26 October: The Chilli is great rather sad I can't stay here longer in Prague but already made plans to meet E at Sokolska across town. No idea what time E is getting in tomorrow. I am a complete bore and totally tired so after getting unpacked well unloaded I basically headed to bed.

27 October: Gonna go check out the city til E gets here. Haha so yeah didn't really see too much of the city but despite maps I just wandered but unfortunately the sky turned dark around 2 and it began to sprinkle.. Met up with Elissa but not until around 19:30 or something. She got the room across the hall from me (it was cheaper but online it said it was booked). In case anyone cares the Sokolska is very strict on rules, very uncool. Anyhow finally did some laundry, expensive though about 240 Koruna a load. The rest of the day was basically a bust.

28 October: E mentioned wanting to go to the Prodigy concert, but it was sold out so we attempted to get scalped tickets - impossible unless you're willing to pay exorbitant prices!!! We didn't. Despite the rain and freezing wind we hung around for quite a while. We bumped into E's friend (that she met at a brewery while I was hiking around Austria) ended up getting dinner together and eventually giving up on tickets. A bunch of us gave up and had a few half liters at the bar across the street from Prodigy, then the three of us headed out to the old town bars in search of dancing. Eventually we found a place and had a good night aside from almost being killed by a psycho American hater.

We were peacefully consuming pizza talking with some Irish guys at the only place open around 5AM when this really belligerent guy starting yelling at me for "hating my country" when I hadn't even said anything to him. He'd basically overheard our conversation with the Irish asking how I knew an Australian being from America. It led to ridiculously bad things and a lot more bashing of America and supposedly Americans who travel all hate their country and are bloodthirsty bastards...the guy was flat out spewing everything vile he possibly could, to which we never got a word in at all (to begin with or during his ranting) to the point where I couldn't take it anymore so we took our food and drink outside to get some peace. I felt extremely bad for the Irish guy who jumped right in to block the other guy's aggressive destructiveness. I apologized numerous times to his friend who came outside with us. I was very grateful for the interference in the situation but also extremely annoyed that it was warranted at all. ... Somehow 30 minutes after escaping the crazy man he found us outside a McDonald's down the alley where he appeared to be apologizing, but I really didn't feel like being anywhere near him, so we kind of took off toward home. Eventually it was light out (almost 9 in fact) and we went to sleep for a few hours.

29 October: Got lunch at a nice pizzeria near the hostel, headed to Wencenslas square. Had a conversation over a few liters of beer and then found a pool hall to while away a few hours. It was really fun since I hadn't played pool in a really long time, which was also terrible because I couldn't handle my angles anymore. Thought after getting back to the hostel we'd go out for some drinks or something but ended up staying in, falling asleep.
