This is Khalid (aka Kal..;)We went out with Dad, to get money changed at currency exchange shop. Linda's stomach was not good, she has been taking medicine that our doc gave us in Calgary. I have sore throat and went to a pharmacy shop (see in pics) to get Amoxil pills. Funny that you don't need prescription for such drugs. You can get any drugs you want with out prescription. The weather is a bit warm but still bearable (Linda might not agree).
We went to see my auntie Jeanette at her house. And then to my younger sis Salma house. Came back in the evening and my younger bro (The groom) showed up with his friends that are here for his wedding from New York and Amsterdam. We sat outside our house, by watchman/gunman tent and chatted till 3 am. At 3 am, we took the gun from watchman and practiced shooting lol I will post a video of me shooting. The gun was pump action (made in Turkey). Loved the sound of rapid fire. We will be trying AK 47's and Klashenkoves in village. My dad was kinda mad that we fired guns at 3 am and that neighbours would wake up and call police. My brother in-law Jamal is a wild man, he doesn't care. Anyhoo, we were hungry so drove to downtown and went to Domino pizza. The menu is completely different and pizzas were delicious. We had pepperoni and chicken tikka pizzas. Linda went to bed so she missed it!!
That was pretty much it for our 3rd day.Oh ya the tailor came and brought Linda's clothes, she tried them on for one last time to make sure they fit. I think she was satisfied.
Amna has two servants in the house. You get up at any time in the morning and order breakfast or lunch or any thing you want lol We are not used to this so its quite a change (on good side lol).
April 4, 2012:
My throat is still sore and I have fever :( Not good. I cannot afford to be sick as every day sick is a day wasted. I am taking Amoxil and Advil but If I don't feel better by tomorrow then will go see doctor.
I stayed home most of the day and in the afternoon went and visited my dear friend Usman. It was nice to see an old friend and catch up on stuff.
I will let Linda write as she had a busy day buying yet more shoes, clothes, jewelery, getting facials, manicure, etc etc etc never ends with her and my sisters. Its like a marathon of shopping. Linda here - yeah, so I went out with Kal's sister and cousin to the beauty parlor to get a facial and massage, and then pedi and mani. It was so cheap, total cost was about $18 CAD. After that we met up with Amna at the market and we chose jewelery to match my clothes and bought another pair of sandals and a clutch to match my dresses. So I am all ready for the events. The market at night is so busy, it was like a weekend for people. We even saw men dressed as women, with full makeup on and they would be knocking on the car window saying something that I didn't know, and glad to not know. I didn't have my camera with me so I don't have a picture to upload.
