Hey everyone!
This will be my last travel log entry....for now at least=)! I am actually home already, just returned back to the good ol USA on December 1st....talk about a long flight! Anyway, these photos are of our stop off in the cook islands on the way home from New Zealand! Lets just say it was just what the doctor ordered! The islands are warm, humid, beautiful and full of very nice laid back people! We did a whole lot of nothing which was perfect! Lots of sun bathing, swimming in the beautiful south pacific, havin a few drinks, reading, riding around on scooters, going to rugby games and all around just chillin!
There is not a whole lot to Rarotagna...it has like 2 grocery stores, 2 bars and a lot of hotels seeing as they thrive off tourism! It was really fun to be so remote though! The natives were all great, they would pick us up as we were walking into town and drop us off in town saying 'have a great day!' It was really nice! We were lucky enough to meet up with the New Zealand Maori Rugby Team who were playing the Cook Islanders in Rugby! We got to go to their game and got some free shirts and drinks and got into closed off bars with them which was pretty fun! On the trip was my flat mate from New Zealand, Alaine and my friend from Colorado College, Kirsen! Three tall cute blonds in the islands...lets just say it was a grand ol time!
As of now though I am in shock back home it is snowing, and about 10 degrees outside....kinda different from the cook islands! haha! But its good to be home!
Hope you like!
Happy Holidays to you all, and I Hope to see you soon now that I'm back in America!
Love,
Kaitlyn
