Had to get up early as everyone except Teresa and I were going on an overnight boat trip. I'd been on one on my last trip here and we both wanted to visit a couple of nearby sights that we'd read about in the guidebook (the truck has a library of guidebooks for the different countries we visit).

Once the others had gone we took the opportunity to do some washing and then caught a boat to Butterfly Valley. The sea was choppy and the boat was small, but it wasn't too bad. As we approached we saw a small sheltered beach with vegetation beyond it. There were treehouses scattered around and tents up. Once there, we walked up the valley to the waterfall. There was vegetation all around and a really peaceful atmosphere. At the top of the valley we started to see butterflies, but not as many as I'd hoped there's be. We did see a Jersey Tiger moth though. We found a quiet spot to sit down and write some postcards and letters, but our peace was soon shattered by a boatload of tourists wandering up the valley. They were very noisy and destroyed the sense of the place.

Caught a 2.00 boat back to Oludeniz and Teresa went to do a parapent jump she'd booked while I went into Fethiye to pick up my photos. Back at base I found Teresa who hadn't managed to do her jump as it had been too windy. She'll get another shot at it tomorrow. Ate at one of the restaurants on the seafront where we both had trout, a drink and a pudding for the equivalent of under five pounds. Wandered around a bit afterwards and I had a temporary henna tattoo done. It's a bracelet of lizards and is meant to last three weeks.
