Half a week has gone by where our main purpose is to go outside, lay in the sun, and relax.  It has been really nice and needed, but has turned in a bit of a boring routine.
Everyday we wake up and have breakfast.  The breakfast buffet is the same every single morning.  We have a selection of cereals, pancakes, Egyptian foul, omelets, various (and not very good tasting) sweet rolls, croissants, yogurt, olives, fruit, and sugary Mango, Pineapple and Orange juice.  Both of us have been eating the same thing every day, muesli with yogurt and pomegranate, omelet, and Alex has been adding pancakes or French toast.  The coffee tastes wonderful on some days and disgusting on others.
Then we go back to the room, put on sun block and spend the rest of the day in the sun and snorkeling.
Around 4 pm the sun starts to go down and we go inside to watch TV (German and American!) and wait for dinner.
At 7:00 the buffet dinner starts and we eat.
The buffet was awesome at first.  We would try everything and eat so much.  Now, however, we are board.  The menu items change but everything seems to taste the same.  There is always grilled meat, some sort of fish, pasta, various salad items, olives, a few backed dish, grilled vegetables, and probably pre-bought cakes that don't taste very good.  Today we actually looked at our full plates and went, "Uhn, not again".
To keep us busy we have been watching the other guests who also don't leave the hotel very often.  There is the "Peacock" and his girl friend who walk funny and seem fake, the Italian man who slapped his kid twice in the face one morning, the Russian who wears lingerie to dinner, to Italian women who sat her daughter at a different table then her and whose husband brought the daughter back to the first table, the Italian pregnant lady who already has two boys, and then "booby girl" and her young boyfriend who seem to have just graduated high school.
After dinner there is entertainment of skits, Belly Dancing, a magician, or Folklore (which is not storytelling, but dancing) at the shisha bar at the hotel.  Along with a water pipe and cups of tea (or a beer) we were entertained.  We went to see Folklore and loved it!  There was one man who spun for about 10 minutes while also making beautiful shapes with his 2 large and colorful skirts.
The whole place reminds me of Dirty Dancing.
