Early start this morning. We are heading west and crossing a bridge to the Island of Funen and then head onto the town of Odense. Has to be the longest bridge I have ever seen! They have a couple of these between their Islands (Denmark is made up of lots of Islands) and between Denmark and Sweden.

Odense is the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen so I checked out the Museum at his Birthplace. Very Interesting. He was not only a great writer but a clever paper-cutter and artist. Apparently he used to tell a story while doing an ornate paper-cut for someone. Very cool. Nice town. Got mistaken for Danish by a guy doing a survey so had a chat with him. Seem to get mistaken a lot for being Danish.

We headed off and over the Jutland Peninsula (on another long bridge!) to Aalborg. Had a walk around. At first it appears very industrial but it has a cute and quaint city centre. There would be a few interesting things to see and do here if we had more time but this is just a sleep stop. There are some old Viking passage tombs and some museums that would be interesting to visit.

Tomorrow is an early start as we go onto Norway.
