Washington D.C is pretty rad.

I loved the over-all feel, it has the calm big city feel, where there are a lot of people every which way, but no one seems upset or rushed - it reminded me a lot of Ottawa. The history is amazing, and it was surreal seeing all these national monuments/buildings that are everywhere, on television, in movies..

We found our way to the White House, took a few pictures and stared for a while. Outside there was a silent protest that has been going on almost as long as my whole life against Genocidal Weapons, and the tamest squirrels ever. We bought a pretzel and hand fed quite a few of them :)

When we managed to walk all the way to the Lincoln memorial these heavy storm clouds came rolling in and the craziest storm I've ever witnessed took us by surprise. The water came down in buckets and it felt as though the lightening bolts were hitting just blocks away. The thunder was so loud that people in the streets were screaming every time it went off.

When we got back to the car we were soaked from head to foot, we didn't have a dry inch on us. We changed in our make-shift changing room consisting of the knit blanket and the trunk of the car, and headed towards Philadelphia.
