We didn't make plans to stop in Georgia, but we had to get gas and snacks. We found a small town and went to a fruit stand where we met a young man selling peaches to make money for his College fund. He was so friendly and polite, and gave us the history on Peaches.

We got to try the regular kind AND the white peach, which only comes from trees that are ancient. We also spoke with the kindest woman who went on and on for longer than I could focus about the history of Georgia and her shop. I tried to keep up, I really did.

We had our fruit, and were on our way, deciding we were going to head to Myrtle Beach for a dip in the ocean.
