30$ got us a decent room, with a mini fridge and a functioning air conditioner.
It had holes in the wall that people shoved paper towels into to avoid seeing the neighbours.
They let us sleep in an hour later than check-out. Marc slept through his alarm and the snoozes he sleepily set up, I didn't even hear it go off. We didn't get a chance to shower or anything, but we decided to get a room as soon as we got into New Orleans, so that we could get settled in.
Off we went again, the creepy hotel behind us as we headed south to the Louisiana border.
