Today we woke up, ate some left over pizza and "checked out" of the motel we scored to ourselves (by checked out I mean we locked the door and left the key in the room, as directed... there was no one else in sight in the building, not even the guy that let us in!)

We went down the main street, where the UFO fest is in full force. Unfortunately there weren't many people in costumes.. The contest had already passed, so I purchased my costume for no reason. Maybe I'll wear it to the fireworks tonight.

We went to the International UFO Museum and Research Center and walked around, and on the way out a lady asked me to donate blood. As many people know, I always donate blood when asked (and have done it on a whim multiple times), so I managed to convince Marc to do it with me. It's in you to give - I urge ALL of you to donate, there's no good reason not to (if you think YOU'RE scared, imagine the people GETTING the blood!!) So we go into this little mobile blood unit bus thing, and they take us into the little rooms... I answered all the questions, and as were getting to the end of them, it becomes apparent that my recent tattoo was not going to let me give blood in the states. They have a list of "acceptable" states from which to be tattooed, but have not received the information of which provinces in Canada are regulated.

Marc, being the trooper that he is, went and did his first ever blood donation without me. I tried to make him laugh by drawing him pictures of puppies and kittens. He did really well and we met a really cool guy with a killer moustache.

Now we're in a book/videogame/coolshit store. We bought coffee and are hanging out in the air conditioned cafe area. My macbook is dying, so I guess this is it for now. Tonight, after the fireworks we're going to drive down to Carlsbad so that we can check out the bat migration in the Carlsbad Caverns. I'm very excited to see them, I love that kind of stuff. I'm a nerd. I think we're going to sleep in the car to save some money :) The seats recline, and I managed to sleep in them on the way to New Mexico.

For now, I leave you pictures of alien stuff.

Thanks for visiting Roswell! Where aliens are everywhere - for no reason and the locals HATE them. But we're glad they attracted you so you could spend your money here. :-)

T-Funk on

Did you remember to tell the aliens that I'm off limits?!
