Destination this morning:  Trafalgar Square.  The square is considered the "heart of London" and is surrounded by roadways on three sides, with stairs leading up to the National Gallery on the other.  (Horatio) Nelson's Column is in the center of the square, surrounded by large lions, and there's a good view of Big Ben off in the distance.

The rest of the morning, through a good portion of the lunch hour, Barry and I wandered the area looking for a particular pub called The Black Horse.  We wanted to watch the soccer games and grab a bite to eat. Getting lost in London has it's benefits -- you see a lot of things you probably wouldn't.  Of course, you can eat up a lot of your time and wear yourself out walking.  We finally found the pub only to learn they weren't showing the games!  So we picked up a couple pies and drinks, and headed back to the room to watch the games.  Man U beat Liverpool, and Arsenal lost to Chelsea!

Carry-out traditional English fish and chips tonight for dinner so we can warm up in the room.  Tomorrow we'll pack up and head for Heathrow for our flight back to Anchorage.

We did good this trip ... I saw a lot on my "things to see" list.  And, to my surprise, I enjoyed London.  Even though it was cold, and we were wet most of the time, it was a very nice visit!
