Back at Leeways, I took one of the most enjoyable showers I have ever experienced and washed off four days of sweat and dirt. Dom and I had to wait for Sebastian and Phillip to get back from the inland trek since we had some of their stuff and vice versa, so we stayed a couple of nights.

Nothing of much note happened other than we rested up, although I did buy a new camera to replace the one that was stolen. That means more photos, but probably not for a while until I find a place to upload them. It's funny, in one of those sad ways: now that I have another camera I miss my old one all the more because it was so much better. The new one feels flimsy and cheap compared to my old one, and has many fewer features.

After meeting up with the other guys, Dom and I boarded a train and set off down the eastern coast for Kaikoura.
