Well, it took more than 3 weeks and lots of travel to finally find a sunny day at the beach, too bad I had to leave later that day!  The morning was beautiful, we had some coffee then went for a swim.  A few of us batted a volleyball around for a bit.

The rest of the food was prepared, and by 9 am we had some breakfast beers to go with the food, a mixture of shrimp, spaghetti, and donuts.

I haven't been to a lot of beaches in the Philippines, but this was the nicest I've been to. The sand was nice and clean, not many rocks at all.  The mild surf was just perfect for hanging out in the water, adding a little extra fun.

Around noon we packed up and headed back.  In Tagaytay (I think), we stopped at a fruit market when I noticed some fresh jackfruit.  We also bought some of our new favorite -- mangosteens.  I've yet to find them here, even at the Asian supermarkets, but canned versions are available.  I'll have to look a little harder though.

With the clock ticking, we made a brief stop in Taguig to pick up my bags (Zel would spend the night there), then stopped at Market Market for a quick farewell dinner at another of Zel's favorite restaurants, Gerry's Grill.  Neither of us were in the mood though, separation depression had already taken hold on both of us.

The journey home was an uneventful one.  Zel called during my layover in Hong Kong and couldn't stop crying.  Hopefully this is the last time we will have to part like this -- we're now waiting for the long immigration process to run its course and if all goes well, the next time we meet will be on American soil and we'll be together permanently.  If only we could fast-forward to that day...and then slow time to a crawl afterward.
