Orlando, Florida - Day 2, Night 3...

Wow, we slept in and enjoyed every moment of it. Going to wear shorts and t-shirt today cause it's going to be a warm one! So decided while waiting for the bus to grab a quick cup of java to go. Well, they were trying out a new coffee machine that makes freshly ground coffee and leaves a head on it. Seeing as we were the first customers with this new machine, turned out to be a freebie for us. Now that's the way to start the day!

Off to Epcot we went and essentially conquered. My oh my this is THE time of the year to attend cause there were no waits. Well OK, maybe we waited 10 minutes for one of the rides, but just about all the rest were either 5 minutes, or walk right in. Towards days end we had to wait 20 min's for the most popular ride at Epcot - Soarin.

We started off our day at about noon there, then hit up all the rides and interesting areas. Sherry had the good ole map out and we just went all around that damn place. We even went on the GM Test car ride twice. We ended up going to the single rider lane which turned out to be quicker than the Fast Pass line. Man, our luck was just something else really. There were so many interesting things to see and do. Also had a big international area, so went to the German area for their buffet and a german beer split between us. It was truly a very neat place to go.

Let's see, we also found Nemo, saw another 3-D show (funny at that) and checked out Soarin which was a very cool ride. You sit in a chair and then there film of different parts of the US and you're soaring along. It's just an awesome visual of different parts of the country from above. Now, one must keep in mind that during some of these rides, different fragrances get blasted at ya, as does blasts of air during key moments, or small splashes of water during certain times. Makes everything seem very real indeed!!!

This was a very educational place as well. We learned about the earth and it's history, narrated by none other than Ellen. Also learned about Agriculture around the world. Went on a trip to Mars - and let me tell you, you've got to have the stomach for it cause you experience G-Force type energy - needless to say we were very grateful we went there right after visiting the German buffet. Our appetite was quickly diminished and dinner was definitely out of the question. We even started with the 'green' space journey thinking...ah, that wasn't bad. So off we go to the orange (waaay more intense) space journey - uh-huh can see why they label them less and more intense.

We checked out most of the international areas, but did run out of time. We didn't want to miss the nights end fireworks and light show - wow, that was something else really. Canada even has a pavilion there. We were going to check it out, but fireworks were more important. We managed some OK video of them.

By the time we got back we were pretty hungry - I mean the intense space odyssey suppressed the hunger for a good 8-9 hours - I think that's the ultimate diet plan!!! We pretty much did every ride, saw every expedition area and enjoyed every moment of it. The weather cooperated and we were pleasantly tired by nights end. Managed to get home by 10:00pm, popped down to the lounge for a nightcap and snack before hitting the hay.
