Happiness is - good to be home. Our gear hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully next week!

Hope you enjoyed our travels cause we most certainly did...Summary of the Trip:

Germany - weren't there long enough, but enjoyed what we did see and folks were very helpful.

Austria - Gorgeous, gorgeous - people are friendly and lots of mountains everywhere. It's also one of the cleanest places we were in.

Tournament - was just awesome - we did better than we expected and were one of the teams to beat!  Italy team dives a lot and Saskatchewan team (during game only) were very poor sports, so not great ambassadors for Canada. All other teams were excellent!

Italy - wow, Venice, Florence 2nd, were our favorite places. Food is just awesome, waaaaay too many people smoke there so lots of butts everywhere - yuck (thank goodness it's forbidden indoors). It's old, old, old and full of so much history. Artwork is amazing, the people are generally quite friendly and most of the roads are narrow in the older parts of Italy and still cobble stone which makes for a rough ride!

The wine is cheaper than beer or water or soda in many places. The wine is also very excellent. Pizza and pasta is to die for. The hours are quite different, with most starting around 10:00am, lunch just before 2:00 and several restaurants didn't even re-open until 7:00-7:30pm for dinner.

Fun times, would recommend it to anyone - but ONLY in the Low Season. I couldn't imagine these places in the summer with the crowds and heat.
