All of our bags arrived in good order and we proceeded to the S-Bahn train. After asking a few folks, grabbed the best price ticket and headed into downtown Munich. Took about 40 minutes to reach the train station we needed to disembark at. So hauled our stuff up the stairs (friggin escalator was busted) and asked directions for our hotel (hey, what can I say, we`re gals and don`t have an issue with that). Started hoofing it down the road with our suitcases, broomball bags and back pack! Sherry had selected this hotel cause it was close to the train station. Uh-huh....yeah, if we got off and switched trains and disembarked at a different station. Yep, 200 meters quickly became about 500m. Now this may not seem like much, but we had BAGS, BAGS...

By the time we reached our hotel, our arms were killing us, shoulders just tight. But, Sherry did pick a good one, twas a really nice hotel. Got to our room and were quite pleased with it. Jackets were strewn about the room and as we proceeded to head out decided it best to pack our passports and Canadian cashola in the safe. Once we started to head out we asked the question, hey did you close the safe? None of us had closed it and we were fa too lazy to walk back!

Off we went and grabbed the S-Bahn to our next destination. What a riot...asked the right people the right questions and managed to reach our destination without a story to share. We walked about admiring the incredible architecture and the busy square. People were all over. We couldn`t imagine this place in the summer. It was very beautiful and old, old, old. We all loved it. Had a great meal, then walked around trying to the find the Huge beer hall.

After a bit of touring we found the beer hall and it was absolutely packed!!! This place holds 1,000 people and there were no chairs to be had, unless you wanted to sit outside – not in these evening temps, thanks very much! We wandered all around the place looking for 3 seats and couldn't find one. Headed up a few blocks and found a little pub, so decided to go for a beer. We were sitting there chuckling about the day and all realized that we were sooooo damn tired essentially being awake since the previous morning (it`s Saturday night now). Decided to cab it home and have a night cap. Took Sherry & Gwen about 5 minutes to fall asleep. Obviously not so much for me cause I`m writing for the blog.

I`m guessing we`ll all be up bright and early in the morning, so we`ll be able to go hiking around downtown Munich again.
