The flight was non eventful - good thing of course. But, we did arrive right around 5:00 so it was pretty busy on the freeways. I tell ya, the Thai people have some sort of hidden road rules that are just amazing. Even though coming up to an intersection there are only two visible lanes, they manage to turn it into 4 lanes. Once they are through the intersection it dwindles to 3, then back to 2 lanes. All the motor bikes and scooters squeeze through the vehicles while stopped at an intersection to make their way to the front! Good system.

When we hit our hotel, both of us were pretty tired from the fun night before and just traveling in general. The hotel was something else - holy hi-so. We paid $130 Cdn and it was definitely a 5 star hotel. This room would have cost us easily $700 night in Canada. We were both far too tired to grab transportation to downtown Bangkok so decided to hang out and check out the hotel's offerings. Thought we'd go for Japanese food in the hoity toity restaurant downstairs in our shorts and t-shirts. Nobody was in the restaurant so didn't think it would be an issue - of course it wasnt, this is Thailand after all.

We're not that overly familiar with the various Japanese dish titles, so we completely depended upon the pictures on the menu. Practically everything looked good. We ordered our respective dishes and Sherry thought real sushi would be in order, so out they came with raw fish. Damn I wish I had the camera with me at that point cause the expression on her face was one of wonderment, surprise and maybe a little bit of terror in there. Well what a trooper - she dug in after questioning if this really was her order (yep, Nobody else in the restaurant Sherry - heheh). So there was raw Tuna, Salmon, Red Snapper and Squid. She tried every single one. Salmon was the best apparently (I was not near as brave admittedly) and squid was the worse.

Well both of our meals came in stages, oh yeah there were 5 stages in all. We were laughing our butts off by the time the third stage of meal came around and wondered how we were going to do it. By the time the fifth course came along we were practically bursting at the seams. So much for the evening walk. Hey, let's just roll about down the road shall we?? My gawd we were full, but was it ever delicious.

Decided to go back to the room and I tell ya, a bed just never looked so good. By the time we got back, our bed was turned down and curtains closed. Hey, where's the chocolate on the pillow - what am I thinking, how could I possibly squeeze Anything down. Threw on the news for a bit and got our wake up call for 5:00am. Got a pair of socks out, jeans and long sleeve shirt in preparation for our trip back to Canada. Also repacked our bags a bit, then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
