Ended up at the airport early in Bali so when we checked in there were very few people there. Our bags were overweight by 15 kilo's so had to pay which is what we expected. We do have quite a few souveniers and their weight limitations are less than North America. We only had 2 hours to go from the low cost carrier terminal in Kuala Lumpur, go through customs (which took 30 minutes last time we landed here) and then grab our luggage, hop in a cab and over to the International. Well Singapore air scheduled us on a later flight which we thought was a good thing seeing as it took a fair amount of time to get our luggage.

Going through customs was a breeze this time around. The cab driver (who was Muslim) was so amazingly kind and friendly. We had a great little discussion about the perspective of Muslims and other religions. If only folks could see the other side of some religions, quite certain perspectives would change dramatically. Not everybody is radical.

When we went to check in at Singapore Air we found out we did miss the earlier flight, but there was one leaving in about 50 minutes. We didn't think it possible to get our luggage, go through customs and hop on the little sky train to the gate in time. But we had tons of time to spare. We didn't check out the first class lounge which was too bad cause we sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes waiting to board - oh well, lessons learned. Well, first class is certainly an amazing way to fly. It is the time you actually want the flight to be longer! Looking forward to seeing Singapore.
