We went into the city got parked up, nice city! We went down to the front along the beach front, there was a beautiful man made laggon and the kids were no time stripping off for a dip. We did some shopping then home foe dinner.
As we were staying a few days we decided to make the most of the caravan park and all it's actvities, and have a rest from trailing the kids about, first it was a go for the kids on the gokarts, where they tore about the campsite, i was a bit stressed when they went missing for quite a while, thinking that they had bashed into someones car but they were fine. Next it was swimming in pool number one, with slide and hot spa. Then talking them into stopping for a quick lunch before they were off to try something else.
I got the chance to go to an Aboriginal art show held in these massive tanks in the botanical gardens, i loved it!
It was back for the kids to have a go in the next pool, then it was on the little fire engine. They had a great day that day and were very quick to fall asleep, even for sing a while Leah.
The next morning we decided to leave the caravan and head up to Port Douglas, just about as far as you can go in Queensland, Port Douglas was lovely with a sunday market on, even better!
From there we went to Mossman Gorge, where we all got stripped off and took a dunk in the coldest water yet, it was a good afternoon and we stayed there for about 2 hours.
That night, friends that we meet in Perth came round for an exchange of tales.
Cairns is lovely, very tropical, very expensive and i think we will come back one day, with some extra spending money!!
