Lima was our meeting city for our Peru tour and we didn't do much in this city. We were told there wasn't much to do (however to Justin's horror we found out that the best place to see the Spanish torture instruments throughout their invasion of the incas was here!!). We arrived late on the Saturday night and had a few beers with some friends we meet in Colombia (small world). We spent 2 hours of the next day waiting for money at the bank. It wasn't because there was a problem, the teller just forgot about us. We spent the remainder of the afternoon walking the cliffs near their surf beach. It was a beautiful coast with loads of families having their Sunday picnics.

We booked this tour specifically to break up the trip and spend Christmas and New Years with a big group of people. Unfortunately we found out our group was only 5 people. There was us, a very young married Canadian couple and a 21 year old Swiss guy. We were a tad disappointed with the size of the group at this stage. After our briefing, with the Swiss dude we went for dinner and some Pisco sours (national drink).

The next morning we were cruising to Pisco having done close to nothing in the capital of Peru!
