This past week I have been hanging out with Michael and Jubal at Jubals’ house trying to help Mike understand what it means to be ‘human’, which let me tell you is no easy thing. Have you ever tried to explain to someone why one religion says one thing while another says something completely different but that they all must be treated the same because no one knows for sure, this side of the grave anyway, who is wrong and who is right. Let me tell you folks it is no picnic.

Or why one mother is nice to her children while another is merciless to her kids. Why some people all around the world go hungry while others eat so much that they make their selves sick. Or even that the purpose of grass is to be walked on and nothing more.

The number of new laws and customs that boy is subjected to would drive me batty I do believe, I am just as glad it is not me. Mike has already got a definite handle on the English language so far except for the smaller words like God, love, church, and all the others that so many multiple meanings.

Also, took a short side excursion into the Underdark, the land under the land, to take a look at the city of the drow elves, Menzoberranzan, to see what I could see. Didn’t stay long as it is quite a dangerous place, exactly as I remembered it to be.

What a thought-provoking blog. Those are some of the biggest questions we face as humans. Powerful!
