Spent the day hanging out with Bart again. We were going to check out MiniEurope, but it was way too expensive. Instead we went to WALL�E because he'd been wanting to see it, had no one to go with, and I was definitely up for catching it again.

So, European theatre weirdness:

1) They have no butter! Serious! Apparently the big thing here is sugared popcorn (like kettle corn, for us North American folk) and only in the past year or so have they gotten salted popcorn. While they've advanced to salted, the butter is still on its way. I got the sugared because a) I like kettle corn and b) salted, unbuttered popcorn is not Justen's idea of fun.
2) Intermission, wtf? In the middle of the movie, they interrupt it for a 10-minute intermission. Seriously! How can you do that and not be ripped entirely out of the world of the movie? Guh

Afterward we headed back to Brussels and I got to try frites w/ mayonnaise. They were just as I'd expected, really. We did a little window shopping and that was it. I have, however, been eating way, way too much fast food. Ick. I want veggies! And fruits!

Not going to be a late night for me tonight. It seems I need to be up at 05.00 in order to get ready and catch the airport train for my morning flight. Bleh.

I don't mind the idea of intermission! I guess I'd feel differently if it interrupted in a really big scene, but at least it gives you the chance to use the bathroom if need be. :p
