We arrived in Hong Kong with the perfect combination of jetlag and excitement. We took the high-speed train to Hong Kong Island where we transferred to the local MTR train and stopped at our home base stop: Wan Chai. We checked in at the Wharney Guong Dong Hotel. And although we had a bit of jet lag, we were ready to get the trip started. Hopped back on MTR on Tsuen Wan line to Yau Ma Tei for the Temple Street Night market also known as the "men's market". We arrived at 10pm and it was totally bustling. I bought a purple slap-watch, umbrella and pashmina. Then asked a local vendor to point us in the direction of a good local restaurant so we ended up 1 block down sitting outside eating Chinese street food. I had Chicken Curry in rice hot-pot. Michelle had pork and egg hot-pot.

Back on to the MTR and back to Wan Chai. Before heading back to the hotel, we stopped ar corner bar where we met a really funny and charming Scottish guy who really wanted to dance. So I obliged, of course. Then we joined his table of friends from Australia, Brazil, Scotland and NYC. A couple of drinks and it was time to force ourselves to bed although our body-clocks felt like it was the middle of the day.
