After a 8 hour flight we finally arrived at the JFK Airport of New York City. We you arrive in the United States, you always get a stamp on your passport, meaning you are officially admitted on the territory, whether you want to go out of the airport or not.
As we had a 9 hours stop here, we were free to go out of the airport and go sightseeing a little in New York !

We took a yellow taxi to the heart of Manhattan : Times Square. The taxi ride cost us $50. While approaching Manhattan, we had a fantastic view of the skyline from the taxi.
Times Square is incredible, especially at night. Giant screens everywhere, even MTV in live directly on the street, and the crowd. A limousine even crossed the square, I still wonder what international star was inside !

The crowd is concentrated in the square, and we got out of it, we were barely alone on the sidewalk. We passed the Grand Central Terminal and the famous Chrysler Building with its really nice spire, and finally got at the foot of the Empire State Building, maybe the most famous landmark of New York.

We decided to go to the top. The entrance is all covered by classy pink marble. From the top, the view is breathtaking : the whole of the mythical New York City illuminated, at 360.
We took our time to enjoy the place and try to realize where we were !
