So last weekend we took a free trip to Bergen! Yes i said free. Our school had money set aside for the internation group at hedmark college, so we were able to take the group (which ended up being like 26 out of 84 people) somewhere in Norway. Since no one had really been to the West Coast of Norway yet, we decided thats where we'd go. The only thing I had to pay for was admission to museums and what not. But the hostel and the bus was paid for...

So lets start there... the bus ride. We spent 19 hours on a bus last weekend. About 8 hours on Friday leaving Hamar around 3 arriving Bergen at 11. It was horrible! I dont travel by bus well... so a little road sickness, but at elast i didnt puke. The other 11 hours was on Sunday coming home. We stopped about ever 3 hours or so, so it wasnt as bad... didnt make me as sick, but not the best. While in Bergen, we were only there one day so didnt do alot, but we went to the Aquarium. While there a group of 4 of us named the penguins cause there was nothing else to do.. haha... one was Bob. I think he liked us, he sort of stayed near us for most the hour we were out there. Then we went to a museum for some famous Norwegian musician (Edvard Greig, i think). It was okay, not the best though. Maybe if i knew who he was... After that we were given some free time before dinner, so Allison and I went souviner shopping; got myself a norwegian hat (see picture). After dinner we went back to the hostel and played some games as a group of Americans... with a few Norwegians and a couple Namibians and a girl from Hungary, Ari, who was one of my roommates while in bergen. Good times. Oh yeah, and we went through the longest tunnel in the world on our way to Bergen. Laedral Tunnel is 24.5 km long or 15.2 miles long!

Today, Sat Nov 10th, we went to Lillehamar for the day. Well 6 of us did, Bryanna, Me, Nacole, Blair, Britt Inga and Kyle. Walked around in the SNOW for a while.. Yes it is fall and I said snow. AMAZING! Although, it was not only snow, it was amazing amounts of ICE. Everyone but Britt Inga and  I fell during the day. We spent most the day walking up to the Olympic Ski Jump there... Its pretty amazing, some of the  best picture spots ever up there. You are so high above the town, you get amazing views. A lot of fun. So really thats the bulk of that. Thats all we really did, but it was a lot of fun.  Lillehamar is pretty, especially when they have snow....
