This was MY day. We checked out of our hotel, stowed our bags in the car w/in the parking garage & walked into Georgetown. We walked along the C&O canal, up the "Exorcist" stairs, around the lovely streets bordering Georgetown U, along N street - had lunch at Martin's Tavern http://www.martins-tavern.com  and then walked back along M street.

We pulled out of the garage @ 3:15, took almost an hour to hit the Beltway (via Wisconsin) and got back to my folks house in NJ @ 8. We then proceeded to take a bus back to the city & CRASHED!

We had a great time in DC. We were very happy with our choice of hotel. Location was most important to us and Embassy Suites turned out to be an excellent choice for our needs.

Oh, did I mention the WEATHER was PERFECT.
