Cascading waterfalls, thick luscious rain forest canopies overhead, serenity from the complete absence of crowds...
Barron Gorge National Park…..the most picturesque national park and tropical rain forest in Queensland is just 10 min from Cairns. It boasts rugged mountain ranges, steep ravines, tumbling waterfalls, rich rain forests and meandering freshwater streams. The 260 metre granite faced drop is impressive any time of the year, but especially in the rainy season.
The Cape Tribulation area is a beautiful stretch of coast where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rain Forest meet, the only place on earth where two World Heritage areas exist side by side.

Say Happy Birthday to the old guy! I hope you have a very happy birthday out in the outbacks!
Still following your adventures. Happy Birthday Gary, how many years young are you now? Internet service here is very uncertain so I cannot check your travels everyday, but when I do I am so glad to see the places you visit. Wow! You are so lucky! You only go around once, so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, but save enough for the next adventure! Love and hugs from Indonesia.
Happy birthday Gary, great to know you guys keep safe and are having such a good time!
