I might as well 'fess up, as Gary will tell the story anyway. He is standing in front of the LEAST prickly living thing in the area. No, funny enough, it's not me, and that’s because I have just received a speeding ticket. We found out at the next tourist info booth that we had driven through a specifically organized 15 km long speed trap in the middle of absolutely nowhere, on a poker straight highway, with NO other traffic for miles where the speed limit had been dropped from 110km/hr limit to 100km/hr. Gary and I were talking and I defaulted to the speed I do at home and got caught. You do the crime, you pay the fine. What irked me most was that part of my opal budget went to pay the man in uniform! Oh well, I still contributed to the local economy (??), and my small opal has an interesting story behind it!

Carlo Sand Blow at Rainbow Beach      We heard that home is getting extreme temps and MORE of the white stuff. Just so that you know, we fully empathize; it's the same here.  Darn that weather.

WOW!! thank you so much for keeping us updated on all of your adventures!! I just got caught up on your last few weeks in minutes, but am so thrilled at all of the wonderous places you have found!
The pictures are beautiful, and likely don't do justice to being there, but I can still dream! Travel safely, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Love from us all.
