Finally, the infamous Bali. No shortage of tourists here, and shop after shop of junk to sell to them all, along with massages, 'transport', bars and Kuta Beach, which was not quite s picturesque as I'd imagined. And of course the 2002 Bombing Memorial.
Both Jon & I have some kind of flu (probably from an Asian Bird!) so we were kept flat for a few days and, disappointingly, I only made it out on the town the first night here. However, I did hire a motor-scooter and set out for some exploring of nearby Seminyak and Denpasar - in fact, my main objective was to return with both bike and me unscathed, which, despite one meeting of a scooter and a taxi just in front of me, and knocking elbows with another rider, I managed. Denpasar didn't impress me at all, just bigger and dirtier, certainly not modern in anyway as I had imagined being the Island's capital.
