Finding Cali quite a sleepy city, I was quite keen to move on after my 7 hours of intense Salsa lessons...in fact, thatīs all there really is to do there. So hooking up with my room mate, Coby (USA - now I like six people from the US!) and Yogi (Israel) we jumped a bus down to Popayan. Though much smaller, I found the Old City quite enjoyable, as well as the night life!
Meeting Jody (Aus, Melbuorne) made our new family complete and we celebrated with a bottle of JD that I acquired in Cali (A$16!) then hit the town. But the highlight of the night was meeting about 15 uni students playing music in the park on the way home. With Jody leading the way, we joined them till the early hours of the morning drinking Aguadelente and listening to their singing and playing the Kana (similar to a recorder, but MUCH better).
I also learned to play Colombian Pool here - a little like snooker but on a billiard table without pockets....
I did have a few pics, but don`t seem to be able to locate them????
