Left Quincy about 1:30pm...and headed towards the westbank of Lake Almanor.  Lots of boating on this lake...We rode on CA-70 to CA-89...and followed it up to the Lake...As we cut through Greenville, CA , I saw a sign for the Peter Lassen Marker there...(another Cal 24 Bonus....I think!)

We exited CA-89 at Prattville, CA  and went into "town"....took a break at Camp Prattville and Carol's Cafe...and had a freshly made Vanilla Creme Soda (Soda water, Toriani French Vanilla Syrup, and Half & Half.) It was delish! The cafe where we stopped has only had 2 owners...the current one (Carol...who is still cooking in the kitchen for over 39 years) and her mother-in-law!!! On our way out, we met a couple of gals traveling from London who were also stopping for a break and we chatted for a short while...then rode around the lake and took a couple of pix.

We continued on CA-89 and then turned South on CA-32. The road promised a winding road for 25 miles...and didn't disappoint us at all! There was lots more traffic on this section as it was going straight (???) into Chico, CA.

We'd be riding along with no one around...then we'd have a local come up right on our tailpipe...did a bit of pulling to the right and waving folks on...we were not to be rushed!!!  In the last stretch there were some longish straight-aways...and I programmed the Hotel into my GPS (don't try this in traffic!). We got to the base of the mountain...and I came up to Kathleen and said "George will get us back!" and patted my Garmin 2820 Unit!

Made it back to the hotel...and dropped off a few things...then (after perusing the Guest Directory Notebook, found a diner-type place called Kalico Kitchen, less than a mile from the hotel.  Once there, we checked out the menu and HEY!  I can get a Senior Dinner!! (I know...the thought of that scares me, too!)

After dinner, back to the hotel...washed out the LD Comforts (the best thing since sliced bread, really) and relaxed...heading home to SJ tomorrow...

Sounds like you're having a great trip! You've had nice weather as well. I've never been that good about writing down what I've done on a trip -- you'll love to have this to look back on!
