Suzan, Dave and I (Tyler had to fly home) headed for downtown Phoenix for the NCAA Elite 8 matchup between the Louisville Cardinals and the Florida Gators @ US Airways Center (formerly America West).  We parked in a ramp right next to Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark or the BOBO), home the Arizona Dbacks.  For lunch, we hit former Phoenix Suns star Dan Majerle's restaurant, a very nice sports bar just a few blocks from the arena.  

The game was dominated in the first half by Florida, but Louisville stormed back with 3 point shooting and defense and eventually pulled it out in the closing minutes, earning a birth in the Final Four.  This was our first NCAA Tournament game, the atmosphere was nice and our seats had a great view.  Not the matchup Dave or I had hoped for, had wanted Michigan State vs. Marquette, but alas, they did not make it!  After the game we headed over to Chase Field and their Friday's Sports Bar.  Very cool setup out in left field with an awesome view of the entire stadium.  A must for a sports fan!

Weather was great as usual, hardly bares noting, but it was 80s and sunny! : )
