The sun was out all day! Greatness!
I continued south on Highway 19 into Clearwater and St Petersburg, before crossing the Sunshine Skyway which is beautiful and interesting bridge. I also stopped at a pier where there was a lot of fishing taking place, and as I was taking a picture a tourist from Ontario took a picture of me in front of the bridge.
I then jumped onto Highway 75 and made good time, passed Fort Myers and Naples where I joined up with Highway 41 which crosses east through the everglades.
This west coast seems very affluent and clean and new.
Along the way I stopped at an airboat touring place which allowed me to be very close up to alligators and many types of birds. Our driver was a southern fellow with a very dry sense of humour.
Along the highway there were dozens of alligators basking in the sun and seemed unbothered by the cars passing by. There were several campgrounds along this route, but I can't imagine camping in the middle of a swamp full of alligators.
Just west of Hialeah I turned south on route 997 that was a twenty mile series of nurseries that seemed to have every type of plant and pot that exist. It was very interesting to see new flowers for the season this first week of February.
Tonight I am staying at a Travelodge in Florida City that looks like a Spanish hacienda, and is very clean and proper, as well as cheap. This is home base for two nights as I will be riding to Key West and back tomorrow.
Distance Travelled: 330 Miles (528 Km)

Love the action video
I feel like I am in the everglades. On a visit a long time ago saw some huge fish caught there on a wall in the restaurant at the tip. don't know if they are still there.
