Left Kaikoura in the morning leaving the dolphins behind, but not before we stopped at a fur seal colony and had 10 minutes to watch hundreds of seals from up close right on the shoreline. Lots of seal pups as well flapping about, which was neat.

Then on the road to Picton where we caught the ferry back to Wellington. Long bus ride and ferry ride but we made it to Wellington for 5 in the afternoon.

Had a 30 minute hike to the hostel which sucked but made it eventually.

Wellington wasn't very windy today which is a surprise from the normal and also much different from the last time I was here.

Quiet night tonight as had a bit of dinner with Frazzi and a new Danish guy from our hostel room then had some beers.

Off to Napier tomorrow morning.
