Caught the morning bus from Auckland going to Rotorua. On the way we stopped at Hobbiton, so at that point all of the Lord Of The Rings geeks piled off and went for the day tour, and sadly to say I was very tempted, but I did not succumb to the power of the ring.

It did look pretty cool though. All dorkiness aside, we got back on the bus and made a few more stops before we got to Rotorua, at the bungee zone, and a working Maori village, where we got a tour.

Rotorua is smelly. It has all sorts of geothermal activity and hot springs and geysers. So it smells. Bad. But got used to it after about 30 minutes and it's alright now. Might go to the Polynesian Spa night where there are natural hot baths in the mineral water.

Off to Taupo tomorrow early in the AM.
