We left our campsite at Washington, just outside Pittsburg, and quickly crossed a couple of state lines.  There's a small finger of West Virginia that extends up alongside part of Pennsylvania so I guess you could say we visited W. Virginia.  We were only in West Virginia about 15 miles before we were into Ohio though.  Given the construction and detours we went through over those 15 miles, I guess we could talk aobut how half of West Virginia was under construction.

As we entered Ohio, our third state for the day, we were slowly working our way out of the Tuscarora, Appalachian, and Allegheny mountains that run north-south through this part of the country.  The Appalachian and Allegheny ranges run alongside and extend further north of the Blue Ridge mountains we travelled through Virginia.

We might have made it all the way across Ohio if we hadn't decided to stop for an experiment with our trailer hitch.  When we were checking out this morning I noticed some other trailer hitches like ours and how they have one more piece attached to help reduce the trailer sway in cross winds.  Well since we were going past a large RV dealer this afternoon we decided to stop to see if they could add this anti-sway piece to our hitch.  Long story short, and two hours later we had the piece attached and the trailer seems to track a bit better now.  We just have to wait for a big cross wind to give it the real test.  :-)

By the time we reached Dayton Ohio we decided it was far enough for the day so stopped at the closest KOA, here at Brookville.  Coincidentally, there are 45 golf courses right around us so we might get in a game tomorrow if the weather is nice.  There are showers in the area but luckily nothing like the rain in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan.  There also is a huge drive-in theatre so we decided to take in the show; turns out one admission gave us access to all 4 shows that night but we only stayed for one.
