Palenque, Mexico..only here for 2 nights...the town was nothing special..but the ruins were great..small and compact with spectacular views and a real jungle feel. It was very hot and humid. We walked around the ruins for a few hours marveling at the complex sculpture and architecture. As we strolled toward the exit we came upon a beautiful waterfall.

After...we went to a waterfall called Misol-Ha...apparently it was featured in the movie "predator". You can walk behind it and up the side of the mountain...then we climbed these 'stairs' with ropes as aides as they had water cascading down them. We entered a cave in the dark and came to the source of the waterfall..with my flashlight we could see all kinds of bats and stagtalites (sp) on the ceiling.

then we went to another set of waterfalls called agua azul--the water was an amazing blue green color...and were massive..it was raining, so we decided 'to get stuck in' and go for a swim....fun day!
