It's time! It's time! I've been planning and talking about this trip for 6 months and the time is finally here. My bags are packed, plans finalized, I've said my 'goodbyes' and now i'm off.

I looking forward to big adventures. So I present to you my top 10 list of Must Do's...

10 Swing through the trees with the monkeys in Costa Rica
9 Learn the Spanish word for &^%$#%^&*!!!
8 Run around with the 'boobies' in the Galapagos
7 Glimpse the stunning Machu Picchu at daybreak
6 Celebrate Dia de Muertos in Oaxaca, Mexico
5 Experience traditional latin american cooking-without the latin american'revenge'
4 Celebrate 'Carnval'--someplace really cool!
3 Learn to salsa dance with the locals
2 Get inspired by a new form of art
1 See if the toilet really flushes counter clockwise

I'm set to leave Ohare on Friday night 3:00 a.m.!! I have a ticket to Guatemala first. Antigua to be specific. Planning on living with a host family, and struggling through my first Spanish classes...wish me luck!

Dear Ragnar
Please keep our dear Jen company on your journey. You might need to keep her out of trouble as well as she has a way of finding a bit. ;) Send lots of photos and share your adventures - we will be living vicariously through both of you. Adios Amigos, Shelly & Jim

Bon voyage!
I'm so jealous! And not just of the fact that you ate at Bill's Pizza. You are going to have a life changing experience... it's going to be amazing. As for the learning Spanish, don't refer to your chili as being 'muy caliente.' I know it's a perfectly good translation, but the slang means something different. Trust me. And oh my gosh... the pics of little Gavin are so cute! He looks so much like his mom and dad! Have a great time! I can't wait to see more pictures. xo, Panski

Have a Blast!!!
I am so excited for you Jen. Have a blast and take tons of pictures to share. I can't wait to hear your stories. Enjoy the monkeys in Costa Rica. I hope you hear a hollar monkey - they are hilarious.

Wendy
