I think I led off my last post a few months ago with "I don't know if anyone still reads this, but..." or something to that effect. I really wonder if anyone checks this now, as I haven't posted in a while, and life is a little less exciting to read about than when I was backpacking in foreign lands (though not necessarily less exciting to live).

I still enjoy doing the journal thing, and I've found myself looking back on earlier entries - I guess I'll look back on these later ones at some time as well, so it's good to have an update now and again.

Since I posted last I moved from Nashville to Murfreesboro, which is about 30 minutes outside the city. Murfreeboro is a college town that is growing, and while I'm not in love with the town it does have some great things about it. I really like the townhouse we have, and one of the more beautiful walking tracks that I have seen resides about 5 minutes from home. Murfreesboro is also home to five of my favorite people, including the new edition of my good friends Pauly and Shannon's baby, Eden.

I mentioned music last time as well - for the last few months I've been writing a lot and started recording with one of my roommates, Jon, who just graduated from audio engineering school. I put up my own myspace page (www.myspace.com/jasonpetersonmusic), and I think I'm going to put out a CD of what I've been working on. I didn't really plan this, but I'm excited about how the songs are turning out.

I've been tutoring and sub teaching, which have both been a lot of fun. I'm weighing my options for the next few months and beyond - it's been great having time to write, and I'm really trying to take advantage of this freedom while I have it and spend my time here wisely.

I guess that's it for right now - I might have said this before, but as I look back at what I posted so many memories are triggered of things that I didn't write down - I'm sure it will be the same in this short update.
