Well, its Sunday and we finally have the dorm all to ourselves again. Red Rain left on Friday night to stay in Tel Aviv, and to be honest I was kinda sad to see them go. It was pretty interesting having a Christian rock band staying in the dorm with us, they had some great stories from being on tour. If you are interested in the band or want to see the pictures of the shows in Israel, visit www.redrainband.com
Friday night they had a acoustic show in Jerusalem, and that went a lot better than I thought it would. No-one tried stoning us, and thats always a good thing when you are doin a Christian outreach in Israel..
Saturday we went to Calvary Chapel in Tel-Aviv for their morning service, and proceeded to set up the bands equipment on the beach for their rock show/outreach. I had a Arab come up to me at the beginning while they were checking the sound systems, (I was on security duty) and tell me that we were all going to die because they were singing about Jesus, and Israel hates Jesus. But, the night went well and we didn't get blown up, so that was really cool too :-)
A lot of the people in the group got to hand out tracks, and talk to people about Christ, so it was a really good time. We ended up getting back around 1:30 AM, and I preceeded to sleep until noon... So the rest of the day I have been home getting homework done, and enjoying the peace and quiet.
