Yesterday we took a very pleasant two hour boat ride back from Morro to Salvador. We met another nice American woman here at the hostel travelling alone, and we had a fun night out at this outdoor bar area with a bad and lots of traditional Brazilian dancing for us to watch. Today we'll check out the city sights a bit more and then later this afternoon, the three of us fly back to Rio for our last two nights in Brazil.
I just spent the last few days relaxing in Morro do Sao Paulo. Nice breakfast at the pousada (actually, the best breakfast I've had in all of Brazil), wandering around the little town and doing some shopping, spending the afternoons at the beach, and then dinner and drinks at cute little outdoor restaurants. Morro is adorable, but there is not a whole lot to do there for almost a whole week. It was good to relax though before I have to head back to the stress of real life later this week! Although I did have a bit of stress in Morro-- my wallet managed to disappear. Its still unclear if someone stole it out of my backpack or if it fell out and then got picked up, but I still had the annoyance of cancelling credit and atm cards and losing a good bit of cash. Luckily though I still have my passport, another credit card, and Elisa and Tyson to lend me some money!
