Last night rachel and i headed to baker beach on our way outta town, ate at an In-N-Out Burger. i dropped her off and set forth on my adventure! after crossing the Golden Gate and checking into my hostel (in the middle of nowhere) i really felt like i had traded my city life for that of the aesthetic voyager... (chris would be proud). in the morning i headed up HWY 1 where the fog was so think i could barely see 50 ft ahead of me. realizing that it'd take a very long time to go up hwy 1 i jumped over onto 101 and have been cruising. i have stopped for gas in Ukita for gas, still 200 miles to go till redwood national park. i must say that i am awestruck by the landscape. i can imagine why one could be so captivated by the american west... this will be a theme for quite some time!!
