We arrived in Kansas City, and then got to our hotel in Independence, MO and checked in. The kids wanted to see the Chiefs and Royals stadiums, so we drove by there and got as close as we could get since the gates were locked. We took our pictures then drove to historic downtown Independence to get something to eat. I was looking for some KC BBQ, but didn't really find anything of that nature, so we settled on pizza at Square Pizza. I was very impressed by the pizza. The toppings were generous and the sauce was good. After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and the boys went swimming for a while before ending a long and tiring day.
